AMWILLA D'OURO GUESTHOUSE is a new family member. This brand new accommodation, located in Rua do Douro, Mindelo – even known as Rua de Muralha, adds to a family story. A narrative already initiated in Amwilla Laginha.
With a stunning panoramic view, stretching from Monte Cara, through Baia do Porto Grande, on to the mountain range that embraces the inner city and all the way to Monte Sossego, Amwilla D’ouro offers delicious moments at sunset in addition to a peaceful sunrise with the awakening of the bay and the toil of the fishing boats.
10 minutes from the city center, Amwilla D’ouro and it’s 3 studio apartments with a balcony each and 1 full bedroom, is located in one of the first streets of MIndelo, when reaching the city coming from the airport. This guesthouse is loaded with good energy, offering you a piece of Cabo-Verdian literature by the stories of António Aurélio Gonçalves. The exuberant presence of Elson Renato paintings, confer on the other hand, the excellent artsy touch implemented throughout this whole project, conceived and executed with love.
With a privileged location, AMWILLA LAGINHA GUESTHOUSE is just a few steps from Laginha beach, the most urban beach in Mindelo, has a gym right in front, a small supermarket and a church, which give a sense of community to the surrounding area. The serene environment of the apartments invites you to a cultural adventure, with an incursion into Cape Verdean literature, through the works of António Aurélio Gonçalves (1901-1984), the owner's father. Access to the city center can be done quietly along the charming Avenida Marginal, which shelters the beautiful Porto Grande Bay, voted one of the most beautiful in the world.
